. . . Who is Upper Trinity Regional Water District?

The water we drink today, the water that sustains our families and businesses, is a product of vision. Dedicated utility leaders many decades ago planned ahead. These leaders knew that the vitality of our region depended on an adequate water supply. Their visionary planning has assured for us the vital water sources and lakes we depend on today.

Water for tomorrow:
Since 1989, communities in Denton, Dallas and Collin Counties have counted on Upper Trinity Regional Water District to ensure an adequate water supply for the future. A non-profit, government agency, Upper Trinity was created by the State Legislature as a cooperative effort of public entities who render utility services: cities, towns and utilities that share a regional vision. These member entities govern Upper Trinity and oversee the various regional programs.

Working together:
With efficiency and effectiveness, Upper Trinity members work in cooperation to develop, plan and manage the vital services for our communities. Services provided include treated water, long-range water supply, non-potable water, wastewater treatment (water reclamation), biosolids management, watershed protection, water conservation and collection of household hazardous wastes.

Our Mission: To plan, develop and manage water and wastewater services in the interest of members, using consensus-based strategies that are environmentally and economically sound.
